Course Rennovation

This proposed renovation to the Edgewater Croquette course incorporates multiple line options with two new goal areas for tournament play.  The takeoff goal has been lifted off the main course to elevate and make distinct the starting point.  Finishing the design is a celebratory end gate, sunken for closer proximity to the main viewing platform.

Lobby Desk

The design of this desk uses simple form and a clean material pallet to fit within the existing lobby space.  More than accommodating the functional requirements, the L-shaped intervention completes the original lobby design where previously a haphazard placement of planters and other additive objects had attempted to.  Our exploration to arrive at this design was primarily through physical and virtual models.  This allowed us to have control over the massing, proportions and overall form.

Regarding the future for Mixed-Use

The above flier is for a presentation I am co-hosting next Tuesday.  Tomas and I will be presenting two projects that address questions regarding the future for mixed-use.  Three main points for my part of the presentation are

1.  Adaptive Re-use
2.  Research as a driver of the design process
3.  Urban design and the "idea Center"

If anyone is interested I'll post my notes.
